Jill Brooks X Ohh Deer : Transitional Summer Fashions

When it comes to summer attire, I'm obsessed with cute rompers, sundresses and maxis - but something that always plays a part of my summer wardrobe shipping is the looming idea that summer is short (too short for me.... I LOVE the heat!) and so many summer pieces can only be worn a couple months of the year. The answer? I buy summer fashions that, with little help of a little styling, can easily be transitioned into fall and even some winter looks depending upon how cold your weather can get. We can get away with a little more here in the South. Sorry, y'all! 😝

In this post, I wanted to cover a few looks with transitional pieces and give you ideas on how to style for various seasons. Black strappy distressed tee paired with the acid wash black denim cutoffs. The summer look is paired with sandals and your favorite sunnies. Bring along your crossbody purse to finish the look and add some functionality whether you're running errands, headed to the beach or having a girl's night with the squad.

Transition to fall with some moto leggings/jeggings, black or patterned tights or thin leggings and my favorite - my old trusty combat boots. Too much grunge? Try these adorable slip-ons, the Portland, available on OhhDeerBoutique.com.

Next, one of my favorite looks of the day 🖤

This is so dainty and feminine that it will wear well no matter the season. You can get away with thinner fabrics in the colder months as long as the fabric itself matches the overall soft look of the piece. This sweet little dress had the perfect small details all over. From the baby-doll sillohuette to the delicate lace to the neckline that pairs well with one of my favorite accessories -- chokers (as if you couldn't tell lol!), this sweet dress needs a home in your closet. Just trust me on this one. #obsessed

For fall, pair with brown leggings and a great pair of tall boots (over-the-knee would be my pick!). I'd add my fur vest for fall and my favorite pea coat & scarf for winter. A scarf with tons of texture would be a fabulous match! Think fur, a chunky knit, just something that will catch your eye. Something interesting. This will draw attention to your face by bringing the eye up and framing ya moneymaker!

One of the most timeless, classic and sophisticated color combinations is nude and black. As if you couldn't already tell, I'm a neutrals girl, but the BEST thing about the nude/black combo is that you can add a small pop of color to change up your look.

This look was my favorite of the day. The tank was comfy, and I love the lace-up detailing. I paired this beige corset top with the extreme distressed black pant. Add your favorite bralette and simple black choker for a touch of sass and a whole lotta sexy! 😈
